FROM THE AUTHOR

As an agent for 20 years, I have been asked a million questions. I woke up one morning and had, at least, 50 emails asking me questions about the business. The Acting Business. Actors from my agency and actors that I never had the pleasure of meeting.

I was writing the same answers over and over. I thought, "I need to write a book." I wanted to write a good reference book on acting. Not how to act, but what it takes to be an actor and the route to get there. The ins and outs, so to speak. I have a lot of valuable information that I would love to share and educate upcoming actors, parents of child actors, and seasoned, advanced actors that secretly have a question and would like it answered without having to ask someone.

I am very passionate at what I do and I care about the actors I represent. I also, evidently, care about the actors that I don't represent. I have seen and heard so many actors that get "took." I have included a chapter with my email address for Actor Consultation. I try to educate any actor who writes to me. I hope you enjoy the book. It was written for you, my friend.
